Relationships- I am supported through relationships in my life. Both by relationships that I choose, as well as relationships that happen by circumstance. My friends and family are supportive of me and help me with decision making and encourage me through different opportunities in my life. My professors and colleagues support me through my journey in the Early Childhood field. There are a lot of things to be learned from colleagues and people who have a lot of experience in the field. The longer I work in the field the more I learn in the field. Without these relationships, I would lack a sense of community and support.
My Job- My job supports me financially to be able to live. It helps me pay the bills and buy things that I need or want. My job also helps support what I am learning in school. Because I work as a nanny for a young child, I am able to put into practice all of the things that I am learning.Without my job, I would not be able to financially support myself.
Hi Amy,
ReplyDeleteI share you the same opinion about supportive relationships. Open-minded and positive people have great chances to get supports in their working field. This increases one's chances to succeed and grow in his/her profession. I also agree that supportive relationships give us opportunities to learn and mature.
Your are right money does make the world go around. I like reading everyone's post about working with children because I haven't started working in the field yet. I use to work with children a long time ago and I am excited about doing it again.
ReplyDeleteYour definitly right about the job supporting us. I work at a child care center and even though it doesnt pay much it definitly allows me to go to school and learn more things about my job that i love.
ReplyDeleteI'm entirely with you in terms of how you visualize support systems. I, too, sort of divided my support systems into the ones based off of my personal life (family, church, etc) and the ones at home. I try my best not to bring my work one, and try not to bring my home issues to school.
